Southern Power Systems Services, Inc. is a small disabled veteran owned business located in Georgia that provides generator sales and services to the southeastern United States. The President/CEO of our company is Michael Smith. In February 1970 Mr. Smith enlisted with the United States Army. He went through several specialized training programs to work on generator systems within the Army. He was a Distinguised Graduate of the Powerplant Program. Mr. Smith also received training in Turbines and Motor Generation while serving in the Army. He received the 52 D 40 designation. Mr. Smith served a tour of duty in Vietnam from September 1970 to September 1971 in the Charlie Company 169th Engineer Battallion. In 1980, Mr. Smith went to work in the public sector as a generator technician. After working almost 25 years exclusively in the repair and installation of emergency power systems in the telecommunications industry, he opened Southern Power Systems Services with one goal in mind. That goal is to offer the highest quality equipment available at a fair price and the most superior customer support after the sale.
